Fairbanks Nijhuis

Solids Handling Pumps

The Pentair Fairbanks Nijhuis solids handling pumps have an international reputation for the handling capacity of solids, slurries, sludge, pulp, trash, sewage, and grit, combined with high efficiencies. These pumps are designed to pass solids, trash, and long stringy materials. They come with a single, double or triple blade screw impeller having a wide free passage which provides an extremely smooth resistance-free path for solids containing fibers.

Features

  •  High efficiency
  •  Resistance-free path for solids
  •  Shaft deflection reduced to a minimum
  •  Back pull out design for pump inspection
  •  Access hole for impeller inspection
  •  Available in different materials
  •  Steep Q-H Curve
  •  Low NPSH characteristics
  •  Flat non-overloading power curve
  •  Reduced maintenance and downtime costs

SRW- SRWc- SRWV series

This pump has three available configurations horizontal (SRW), horizontal close coupled (SRWc) and vertical (SRWV). The screw impeller centrifugal pumps (SRW) with single blade screw type impeller are ideal for pumping raw sewage which contains stringy fibrous material and for pumping sludge up to 10% dry solid content. Available in: Cast iron and Ductile iron; Niresist; Bronze and Aluminium Bronze; St. Steel and Duplex St. Steel.

RW-RWV-ERW-ERWV serie
For raw sewage we have some alternative types available with single blade (ERW and ERWV) and double blade impeller (RW and RWV). For larger capacities you need our triple blade impeller Mixed Flow Pump  (HMFR or VMFR). Available in: Cast iron and Ductile iron; Niresist; Bronze and Aluminium Bronze; St. Steel and Duplex St. Steel.

VTSH series
This pump eliminates the need for additional dry-sump, suction piping, dehumidification and sump pumps. It reduces initial constructions costs with 40-70%, compared to conventional wet-pit/dry-pit designs. The pump is ideally suited for the new trench-type self-cleaning wet well design, non-clogging and highly efficient. The design allows entire drive system and controls to be located above the flood plane. Constructed of cast iron bowls and impellers and a stainless steel pump shaft.

5420/2420 – 5410/2410 series
This pump is available in horizontal and vertical configuration. It has a lengthened shaft life, reduced maintenance and downtime costs. Installation is smooth, quiet and trouble-free. Constructed of cast iron volutes and impellers and a carbon steel pump shaft.

5730M/5730W - 5730WD series
These pumps and motors are UL Listed for operation in Class 1, Division 1, Group C and D hazardous locations, and feature explosion-proof construction. The impellers are single-suction, mixed-flow design with large passageways. Constructed of cast iron volutes, cast iron or bronze impellers and a carbon steel pump shaft. 5 year prorated warranty. The pump of our 5730WD series runs continuously non-submerged. This model also has a unique, self-cleaning rotating flow-control disc that prevents solids from entering and accumulating in mechanical seal area and cooling water jacket.

5430WD/ 2430WD series
The unit runs continuously non-submerged Pumps and motors are UL Listed for operation in Class I, Division 1, Group C and D hazardous locations, and feature explosion-proof construction. Constructed of cast iron volutes, cast iron or bronze impellers and a carbon steel pump shaft.5 year prorated warranty.

5430M&W/ 2430M&W series
Pumps, motors and pull-up systems are UL Listed for operation in Class I, Division 1, Group C and D hazardous locations, and feature explosion-proof construction Impellers are single-suction, mixed-flow design with large passageways. Constructed out of cast iron volutes, cast iron or bronze impellers and stainless steel shaft. Reliable, clog resistant, high performance. 5 year prorated warranty.
